This is a fantastic newly created role in one of Europe’s leading Digital Agencies. There may not be a better role in Dublin right now!
The role has been introduced in response to the changing face of digital media and of course the digitalisation of all media. The Media Innovation Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to head-up Cybercom’s recently restructured Media Innovation Department.
The agency’s media offering is split between paid and earned media. The Media Innovation Director will overlook both offerings and manage a team of 4 channel specialists and a support Media Account Executive.
The Media Innovation Director must understand all digital channels like the back of their hand – these channels include social, search, mobile and display. A clear demonstration and understanding of where digital fits in today’s environment is also needed as well as its future role as the media landscape continues to develop. For this, an interest and understanding of the digital point of sale and digital outdoor is a must.
Experience, experience and more experience is required. Candidates must have been round the block as there is no room for complacency here – although education will continue daily.
Whoever lands the role will be directly responsible for the strategic planning of all media clients as well as the commercial development and direction of the new look Media Innovation Department. Direct strategic input in to all agency clients and all agency pitches will be another ongoing aspect to the job.
Cybercom’s client base is European and includes Vodafone, Diageo, Coca-Cola, Ulster Bank, Open University, Jurys Inns, Aviva, James Hull Associates, AIB, Airtricity, Adidas and many more.
The Media Innovation Department has been earmarked for considerable growth in 2010 and beyond with a key requirement of the position being the realisation of the agency’s new media model. This can only be done by securing new clients and growing business with existing clients.
The Media Innovation Director will report directly to the Managing Director.
